(About)

I’m a software engineer — and a bit of everything else. I like leaving things better than I found them.

Now

Engineering at Implentio — code, data, customers, and the coordination in between.

How I work

I ask questions, write things down, and explain without jargon. The soft skills are part of the job too.

Also

Event committees, mentoring, and a food journal that reviews the door before the dish — The Whole Table.

Shipping invoices are where money quietly leaks — mischarges, surcharges, numbers nobody has time to check. At Implentio I build the tooling that catches them, and the job is whatever the day needs: TypeScript features, Snowflake queries, customer onboarding, or running the meeting that unblocks the week. I started as a volunteer intern; the hats kept coming.

Community events don't organize themselves. I sat on the committee and built the site — speakers, schedule, the archive — then stood in a room full of cloud builders using the thing we made. Both halves count: the code, and the hundred small decisions that make an event feel cared for.

My first volunteer build, and the reason event sites keep finding me. I shipped the schedule, venue, and team pages, a PDF export feature, and the unglamorous work — mobile bugs, browser quirks, post-event archiving — that makes a site feel finished instead of just launched.

Teaching was part of my work long before tech. So when BrainStation handed me a 35-student full-stack cohort, the labs, code reviews, and debugging help came naturally — explaining hard things simply is still my favourite skill.

Built for the version of me whose to-do list never matched the clock. MYTE gives every task a time estimate and a place on the calendar — a planner that treats the process, not just the outcome, as the point.

A kids' Make, Bake & Grow contest deserved better than a flyer. I volunteered a serverless site for the Carstairs Horticultural & Craft Show committee — registration, contest categories, venue info, and Square-powered donations.

Co-developed a personalized bundle builder with advanced search to simplify content selection and decision-making. Built with React and SASS following Git Flow.
